The Storm

May 2, 2008

In the idyllic summertime

His doubts were at their height

They rose upon the storm

This young one knew his God

But he trembled for his soul

For he also knew he could not follow

On his own

What if he had not meant it?

What if he sinned again?

Would this God then leave him?

He cowered on his bed

The lightning flashed!

He soul did crash

He felt that God may leave him

He was not good enough

Could he dare think God would keep him?

He cry went up!

His voice was heard

And there, in that tenth cabin

Somehow he knew that come what may

This God would never leave him

And that’s when he discovered

That his quest was at an end!

His soul would stay secure forever

For God would work to keep him

Christ’s death for sin would never fail

He rose again, and will prevail.
